Nadolol Uses brand name Corgard

Nadolol is a prescription medication used to treat high blood pressure, chest pain, and atrial fibrillation. It has also been used to prevent migraine headaches and cirrhosis complications. Corgard belongs to a class of drugs known as Nonselective Beta-Blockers. Corgard's safety and effectiveness in children are unknown.

Nadolol is a crystalline white powder. It is completely soluble in ethanol, slightly soluble in hydrochloric acid, slightly soluble in water and chloroform, and very slightly soluble in sodium hydroxide.

CORGARD (nadolol) tablets are available in doses of 20 mg, 40 mg, and 80 mg for oral administration. Microcrystalline cellulose, colorant (FD&C Blue No. 2), corn starch, magnesium stearate, povidone (except 20 mg and 40 mg), and other ingredients are used as inactive ingredients.
